Privacy-first vocabulary learning

ahzo.de requires an account to study cards. Your account stores progress and activity history on the server, while browser storage keeps preferences, custom sets, and cached progress.

What the account stores

Register with an email and a password of at least eight characters, then sign in to access your vocabulary cards. The Python server stores your account, review progress, and study activity. IndexedDB and localStorage keep a browser cache, preferences, and custom word sets.

Simple registration

Only an email and password are required. Your display name is derived from your email; there is no email verification step.

Progress in your account

Your account stores review progress and activity on the server. Browser storage supports cached progress and pending changes; custom sets remain on this device.

Clear trade-off

Clearing browser data can remove cached progress and custom sets. Saved account progress can be restored after sign-in, while browser-only custom sets need to be added separately on another device.

Consent choices

For analytics and advertising services, ahzo.de shows a privacy choice banner so users can accept or decline optional storage.

Choose when to send writing to AI

AI feedback is optional and only runs when you explicitly request it. Your submitted answer, the reference sentence, and language context pass through the Python server to Groq. Your account email and password are not part of the AI request. Avoid including sensitive personal information. Read Groq's data controls for details of its processing.

You can delete server history or your account from the account controls. Browser data is managed separately in your browser settings.

Why it matters for learners

Vocabulary lists can be personal: exam words, class notes, work-related terms, or phrases from daily life. ahzo.de explains where information is stored and lets you choose when to request AI feedback.
